Hi there! I'm Reza, a computer scientist and homelab enthusiast. I love diving deep into tech projects and I created this blog, so that I can document and share my adventures, insights, and solutions. I hope that this blog also becomes a valuable resources for you and others.

Professionally, I contribute to critical public safety initiatives under the umbrella of KatX. These include systems like KATWARN, a widely used public warning system, and essential emergency service software like KATRETTER and DE-Alarm. My work focuses on developing and enhancing systems that ensure the high availability of the software and its communication. Visit the KatX website if you're curious!

I have a B.Sc. degree (& M.Sc. soon™) from TU Berlin. My B.Sc. is in Medientechnik (engl. Media Engineering). It's basically a branch of computer science that focuses on human-machine interaction. I learn a lot about computer vision, computer graphic, audio, and the most hyped one: natural language processing (NLP) and its machine learning stuffs.

I was one of the first students that earn a B.Sc. in Medientechnik from TU Berlin. When I enrolled in the master's program, there was no M.Sc. in Medientechnik available. Therefore, I continued my studies in computer science. At first, I continued my learning journey on human-machine interaction, but my work with the KatX systems piqued my interest and curiosity into another direction. At a later part of my study, I also took some database and high performance computing courses.
